How To Come Up With 100s Of Content Ideas 💡

Generate 100s of content ideas by the end of the day.

Hey there. Something ALL creators struggle with is idea generation for content. Well, look no further than this edition of The Viral Post to see how you can come up with 100s of ideas for new content.

Now, let's get into it! 👇

How To Come Up With Original Content Ideas 💡

When it comes to creating content, it can feel like every idea you think of has already been done. It’s difficult to feel like you're creating original content when you search on YouTube and see 100s of videos about the exact topic you want to make a video about. This might all be true, BUT you can still be original. Here's how.

Have a place for your ideas. Content ideas will pop into your head out of nowhere - when you're hanging out with friends, driving to the mall, walking through the city, scrolling through social media, etc. Here's what you need to do... ⤵️

  • Have a place to put your ideas when they pop into your head (the Notes app on your phone)

  • Write down every content idea that comes to mind (some will be bad)

  • Having a large list of ideas will give you confidence when it comes time to create content

Alright. So you understand that it's important to have ideas and to have a place for them. Now what?

Brainstorm ideas. Force yourself to come up with content ideas without judging yourself for it. Here's how... ⤵️

  • Get a piece of paper and a pen

  • Set a timer for 10 minutes

  • Write down as many content ideas as you can think of (some will be terrible)

  • Don't stop until the time is up

  • Once the timer goes off, go through the list - cross off the bad idea and explore the good ones

Now that you have a big list of ideas, you can take some more steps to validate these ideas.

The best idea tool on the internet. Answer The Public is a database for internet search results. You can search keywords or topics that fit into your genre to see what people around the world are searching for. You have a limit of 2 free searches per day (without a VPN 😉). What you'll want to do is... ⤵️

  • Decide the top 2 content pillars that your content fits under - if you were Graham Stephan, this would be personal finance and investing

  • Search Answer The Public for "personal finance" and "investing" and you'll get a long list of things that people are searching for (a.k.a. the content you need to create)

Crowdsource your ideas. Go straight to your audience to determine the types of content they want you to create. Tweet out a poll or post a question on your Instagram Story. Most of the time, your current audience will tell you exactly what they want to see. AND if they want to see something, other people do, too.

Using these tactics will allow you to have 100s of ideas in your pocket, so you never run out of original content ideas.

Twitter Blue Goes Down From $20 to $8 Per Month 📉

What's happening? Elon Musk was NOT trolling when he stated Twitter Blue and a blue check would cost $20 per month. That was until Stephen King tweeted his thoughts on the idea.

After this tweet, the price of Twitter Blue and a shiny blue verification badge dropped when Elon officially announced the price of $8 per month.

There was support and hate in the 70K+ replies to this tweet. Among those saying they'd be willing to pay the $8 per month were popular YouTubers Marques Brownlee and Colin and Samir. Though, they seemed to be willing to pay for the additional features beyond simply getting a blue check.

The additional Twitter Blue features. If you are willing to pay for this new, $8 per month, verification tier of Twitter Blue, you’ll also get:

  • Priority in replies, mentions and search

  • Ability to post long video and audio

  • Half as many ads

  • Paywall bypass for selected publishers

Is the $8 per month worth it? We will see when all the chaos settles and the new features go live. Until then, we'll keep you posted!
