2023 is the year to "just upload it" β
Why should you "just upload it"?
Don't let the fear of not being good enough hold you back from creating and sharing your content this year. Let me explain...
Jay Alto put out an awesome post, pointing out that MrBeast, one of the most successful content creators on YouTube, has uploaded a total of 727 videos on his main channel. Yeah, that's a lot of videos. But a closer look reveals that he only uploaded 79 videos in the last three years. Almost 90% of his videos were released before then.
So, what were the other 648 videos? They were simply MrBeast listening to his inner voice saying, "just upload it."
See a crazy thing happens when creators just put content out there - they learn and improve. Also, sometimes the videos you don't think will blow up, end up blowing up. And this is something that many content creators don't fully understand or appreciate.
When MrBeast put out a 24 hour long video of him counting to 100,000, he probably didn't think it would get him 27 million views and thousands of new subscribers. But that's what happened.
How do you "just upload it"?
Stop comparing your first 10 videos to MrBeast's 727th. While it's true that high-quality content tends to do well on the platform, it's important to remember that it's not possible for everyone to achieve this level of quality. The only way to get there is by consistently creating a large volume of content.
With the rise of short form content, the importance of putting TONS of content out there goes up. So, stop holding yourself back and stick with the plan for 2023 - "just upload it."
