A Twitch Streamer Streamed For 365 Days Straight 🤯

Hi and happy Friday! A Twitch streamer has been streaming for over 8,700 hours straight. What have you been doing?
Let's get right into the good stuff! 👇
A Twitch Streamer Streamed For 365 Days Straight... And Is Still Going 🤯
What happened? Emily "Emilycc," a Twitch partner and now record-holder, recently completed a 365 day stream. That's over 8,700 hours of nonstop streaming.
Oh, and guess what - she's not done. She's still streaming every minute of every day because it's a subathon.
Streamer @emilycctwitch has become the first to EVER have a year long subathon on Twitch. Yes that is 365 days or 8,760 hours... all livestreamed

What's a subathon? For those who don't know, a "subathon" is a stream that keeps going as long as users donate to the streamer. In other words, it's a "subscription marathon." So, as long as she has viewers tipping, the stream will keep going.
Is it worth it? That's a question only Emily can answer. As far as the time commitment goes, it would certainly be a struggle for most.
As far as money goes, her estimated monthly earnings range from $3K to $8K on average. She had her best month in April 2022, gaining nearly 5K subs and earning an estimated $12K. And that's only from streaming. She could have sponsorship or other forms of revenue coming in that we don't know about.
Our thoughts. This is an amazing feat by Emilycc. You can tune into her stream here. She deserves all the subs and donos she is getting for putting in the work that she is.
Things like this just prove that it's getting harder and harder to stick out as a content creator. If you don't have an established audience, it seems you have to go to new extremes to attract viewers. If you have a loyal viewer base, you have to keep raising the bar to keep them watching.
The question on everyone's mind now is, "Should I go out and stream for 8,700+ hours straight?" And to that we say, "NO!" At least we won't be doing it any time soon.
Rahul Ligma Is Back 🙈
What happened? When stories of people pretending to be laid-off Twitter employees carrying boxes outside of Twitter HQ were spreading across social media, one of the people to blame was our friend Rahul Ligma.
