Hey there. We're talking Walmart, recipes, and MySpace. Those topics might not seem relevant to a content creator in 2002, but read all the way through and it will all make sense!

Now, let's get into the good stuff! 👇

Walmart Released A Content Creator Platform 🛒

Walmart did what? Walmart announced the launch of a new platform specifically for content creators called Walmart Creator. It's another way for creators to monetize their content.

How does it work? Creators who are interested need to apply here. Once you sign up, you'll have access to tens of thousands of products that you can promote with content and earn revenue through commissions on referrals. Best part is there's no cap.

Any requirements? Nope. Creators with zero followers or 1M+ can join the platform and start earning, according to the site.

Our thoughts on the platform. Big name creators like DevanOnDeck are onboard with Walmart Creators so there has to be value in it, but not all creators have 3.8M TikTok followers and large followings on Instagram and YouTube. So, is it worth trying out? Well, with the Holidays coming up, there's probably not a better time to try it out than right now. If you don't make any money, you'll get the practice in creating content.

Perfect Recipe For Perfect Content 🍔

1. Mind-blowing Idea

This part is the hardest, but can be assisted with a great title and thumbnail. Think about your niche, do some research into what is getting views already, and take that one step further to blow your viewers mind. For example, imagine you're a fitness creator and videos like "I Did 30 1,000lb Squats in 60 Seconds" are getting millions of views. You can take this a step further by doing 45 squats in a minute or by changing the title to "For every squat I can't do, I lost $100," start with $3,000, and for every squat you complete, subtract $100 from the total until it is $0 within that 60 second time frame.

2. Attention-grabbing Hook

The first 15 - 30 seconds NEEDS to grab your viewer's attention or you've lost them. Stop introducing yourself. Make the content less about you and more about what your viewer will get out of watching until the end.

3. Engaging Content Throughout

Keep the viewer watching. You won't do this by just sitting in front of a camera talking. You need to add in camera movement, cuts, motion graphics, animation, text, etc. whenever necessary in order to keep the viewer engaged throughout.

4. Transition To More Content

You want to lead the viewer to another piece of content. You can do this on YouTube by adding another video to your end screen and mentioning it in the last 15 - 30 seconds. You can do this on TikTok by telling the viewer to "follow for more content like this."

Is Instagram The New MySpace? 🤔

Instagram is testing a new feature that would allow you to add a song to your profile. Yes, exactly like MySpace.

What does this mean? First, we need to see if this feature will actually get released. BUT if it does get released, this will be the new way to finally signal to your friends that you know about cool songs before they do.

There's been no official word from Instagram yet, so we don't know if the song will have a play button or if it will autoplay when you visit a profile or if it will even be released officially.

We’ll keep you updated on any progress.
